Szomszéd Bistro and Community Space is a place that provides pleasant dining, drinking and socializing experience. A place next door that invites you with warm and friendly welcome, offering quality food, beverages and high-standard services. Szomszéd is the result of a combined concept that provides limitless options and that one can relate to by true passion: high-class gastronomic experiences, hospitality, community creation.
We aimed to set up a place where everyone can find spaces, offers and options to their own liking and convenience. A place where university students can have a good chat over an oven-baked pizza, where neighbors can drop in every day to have a quick and simple meal – one that meets the demands of the lovers of unique flavors and tastes, too – and that provides proper options to companies and guests with business-related purposes.

The restaurant
Quality without compromise. This is the guiding principle behind our daily activities, and we believe that this is what helps us achieve full satisfaction of our guests. We only use ingredients of verified freshness and quality, we only work with colleagues whom we share our passion for catering with, and we only cooperate with partners who are seeking and creating perfection with the same level of commitment we do. This approach allows us to serve such high-quality dishes and beverages to our guests that we all can be proud of, and that provide truly harmonious food experience.
We offer dishes that are combined in a simple way. Our kitchen produces quality and unique dishes which are – at the same time – easy to interpret and embrace. True experience lies in the combination and harmony of flavors, whether it be about our oven-baked pizzas or exciting dishes designed specifically for gourmets.
We are home in Debrecen. This is an important tie to us, and therefore we are committed to using ingredients that come from the Debrecen region and Eastern Hungary. Only those ingredients are purchased from farther locations which are not available in this region.
We wish to live in a sustainable world. Environmental awareness, sustainability and environmental protection is of utmost importance for us. We aim to give and not to take away. We seek to embrace a green mindset, use degradable packaging materials and minimizer disposable tools.
