Guest Chef in the House: On 12 December 2024, we are thrilled to welcome József Bernáth to Szomszéd’s kitchen.

József is a great admirer of Hungarian cuisine and a former chef at several Michelin-starred restaurants abroad. He honed his skills in Lyon, mastering the art of French cooking, before expanding his knowledge of Italian, Portuguese, and British cuisines in London. He believes that with the right guidance (and a little practice), cooking is not such a daunting task. In his six published cookbooks, he shares not only the techniques learned in Michelin-star kitchens but also practical and useful tips for both professional and amateur chefs.

On this special evening, József will join Szomszéd’s own chef, Róbert Magyar, to revisit some classic dishes, adding their own unique styles, tastes, and expertise to the menu.

Dinner menu:

  • Venison carpaccio, beetroot
  • Cream of celery soup, chestnut (smoked sturgeon, pine nuts)
  • Pumpkin risotto, sage, scallops
  • Duck breast, pear, mashed onions
  • Golden dumplings

Price of the program, including the menu: HUF 24.900 / person + 12% service charge
